What happens to my files if my Premium expires?

When your Premium expires, your account will revert to a standard user status, and you can still log in to your account, view, and manage your existing content.
Within your available storage quota, your files remain completely safe; even if your total storage usage exceeds the quota, you will have sufficient time to manage your files.

Specifically, if your total storage usage exceeds your account’s available storage quota, your account will enter an “excess usage status.” While in this status:
- You will temporarily be unable to upload, start new cloud download tasks, or otherwise save new files;
- You can still access and manage your existing files;
- Seven (7) days after your Premium expires, online video playback will be unavailable, and the download speed to your local device will be limited to 100 KB/s.

If your account remains in excess usage status for more than four (4) months, PikPak will make multiple notifications via email and in-app messages during a two (2)-month grace period. Therefore, you will have a total of six (6) months (including the grace period) to manage your files—either by reducing your storage usage within the quota or by re-subscribing to Premium.
Once you become a Premium user again or reduce your storage usage within the quota, all related functional restrictions will be automatically lifted.

During this time, your files remain safe. Only if your account stays in excess usage status after the six-month period will the system, within the following 15 to 30 days, automatically delete files exceeding your storage quota, starting from the oldest modified files. This deletion process is performed automatically by the system, and deleted data cannot be recovered.

We appreciate your understanding that these adjustments are essential for PikPak to continue providing you with high-quality, stable, and reliable service over the long term. This has always been our team’s commitment.

Please note that the above rules will take effect on March 1, 2026, and all related timelines will begin counting from that date.
You can view the latest details in the PikPak User Agreement and PikPak Premium Agreement.

Additionally, please note that when your Premium expires, any additional storage quota you purchased will be temporarily frozen (as additional quota is only available during an active Premium period). This means that even if you previously purchased extra storage quota, your account may temporarily enter an excess usage status when your Premium expires.
